After 7 days, 7 long cold nights, 16 hours and 15 minutes we now have electricity. Soon I will post photos and also will give you an update on our Week Long NON ELECTRIC Adventure.

- I hope you like my blog. I live in the midwest with my sweet husband, Gary. We have been happily married for a total of almost 43 years. I am a mother and grandmother with 2 beautiful children and we have been blessed with 7 very precious grandchildren. I am a homemaker and wife and am also retired after working for many years. My last job was at an independent retirement center and I was the Enrichment Coordinator there. I once was an Administrative Promotions Director for an indoor mall. My job was to coordinate car shows, flower shows, beauty pageants, blue grass shows, book fairs, model railroaders shows and much more. I am also a people person and love to have fun with my family and friends. I am now enjoying spending time with my husband who recently retired after many years in the Army National Guard. It has been a very happy and good year and the Lord has truly blessed us with many friends and a beautiful family. We both love time spent fishing, going to Branson for some time together, eating out and spending time with others. This year we have found time to visit with many who we have not seen in a long time. Life is good and blessed by God.

I prayed that it would come on before the 2-3 weeks they projected! I CANNOT imagine being without for 7 days. I know the Amish do it, but they are PREPARED and don't have freezers to keep going, no heat, etc. At least you and Gary got some time together. It was probably fun for the first day or two. :)
I am so glad to hear you have electricity. I am sure it wasn't easy. Hopefully it won't go off again in this next storm.

I was wondering about you guys! We have been in a similar situation. I finally got my phone and internet restored yesterday. Our power has been on all day today and we finally got propane delivered!! Praise God! I'm glad you are OK!
What an ordeal...I bet you missed your computer..
